Area 4 Event Scholarship & Financial Aid
Breaking Down Barriers to Musical Growth
The Area 4 Handbell Musicians of America (HMA) Event Scholarship & Financial Aid program exists to reduce financial barriers to participation in our sponsored events. We are committed to creating accessible, welcoming experiences that support your education and community connection.
What is Covered?
- Eligible Expenses: Scholarships provide reimbursement for event registration fees only.
- Eligible Events: Assistance may be used for Area 4-sponsored events (Note: Endorsed events are not eligible).
Who Can Apply?
- Any individual registered for an eligible Area 4-sponsored event.
- Applicants may reside anywhere, as long as they are attending an eligible event.
Priority: First-time Area 4 event participants receive priority consideration.
Timeline & Process
- Rolling Basis: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis tied to each event’s start date.
- Notification: You will typically be notified approximately one month prior to the event.
- Reimbursement: Approved funds are processed by the Area 4 Treasurer and issued, when feasible, no later than one week prior to the event.

Option 1: Online Form (Recommended) For the fastest processing, please complete our digital application via Google Forms. You will need to upload your proof of registration and receipt within the form. [Link to Google Form coming soon!]
Option 2: Email Submission If you prefer, you may Download the Scholarship Application PDF. Please fill out the form digitally and email the completed document along with your registration receipt to the Area 4 Chair at chair.area4@handbellmusicians.org.
