Join Us for the 2026 Georgia Spring Ring!

Join Handbell Musicians of America Area 4 for a joyful one-day ringing experience on beautiful St. Simons Island, GA. With multiple partial choirs already registered, Georgia Spring Ring is shaping up to be a collaborative, welcoming event where orphan ringers are invited to fill open spots and ring alongside established ensembles. Space is limited. Register early to secure your place in the ensemble.

Who Should Attend?

  • Individual ringers looking for a fun afternoon behind the bell table

  • Handbell choirs with partial or full rosters

  • Ringers comfortable with Level 2–2+ repertoire

  • Youth and adult ringers from across Area 4

Bring your whole crew, or just bring yourself! Open positions will be available within larger ensembles. Music will be provided on the day of the event, and no advance preparation is required. If you like what you ring, you can buy a copy (or a few!) at the end of the day.

Concert

The afternoon concert is open to the public with free admission. Donations will be accepted and appreciated. The show starts at 2 pm.

Music packets will be provided for use during the event by Jeffers Handbell Supply.
Music does not need to be purchased in advance. Copies may be purchased following the session.

  • Cost: $15 per ringer (lunch included)

  • Advance registration is strongly recommended

Participants Under 18? 

For participants under 18 years old, a notarized parental consent and medical authorization form MUST be filled out. Please email [email protected] for more information.

Schedule

  • 8:30 am – Registration & bell set-up

  • Morning rehearsal sessions

  • 12:00 pm – Lunch (included)

  • Afternoon concert preparation rehearsal

  • 2:00 pm – Public concert

  • 3:00 pm – Depart

Youth

Youth choirs are welcome to participate in the festival at the proper level of their ability. Underage participants (17 and younger) must be chaperoned (one adult, 21 years and older, per 6 ringers under the age of 17). Non-ringing chaperones may register as a guest for $35. Ringing chaperones must register as a ringer. A notarized medical release form is required for underage participants (see page 10).

Dress

Dress casual, wear comfortable shoes and layer for AC. Please no cologne/perfumes as your neighbor may have allergies. No special dress is required for the concert but matching shirts or outfits are encouraged.

Meals

Lunch is included with registration. Snacks and beverages will be available throughout the festival.

Lighting

The lighting in the ringing room may not be the same in all areas. Please feel free to bring a music light if you prefer.
